What brought you to Fanshawe?

In highschool I was lost as to what I wanted my career to be. I took a leap for a school and program that seemed challenging and exciting far from home, and I couldnt be more pleased with my decision.

Tell us about your favourite Fanshawe experience.

Throughout our course we had many opportunities to participate in fashion shows, modelling, and charitable events. The hard work, great people and experiences were some of the best experiences I had while at school. I learned a lot and had a blast doing it!

What impact has Fanshawe had on your life?

I originally went to Fanshawe for Fashion Design and through my classes I learned what aspects of classes I had a passion for and which I didnt. This helped me realize that my drive came from the business side of the industry in purchasing, styling and marketing, rather than designing it. This lead my decisions in which jobs I selected and where I am today, from a merchandiser to stylist and now a buyer!

What are you up to now?

I am currently the buyer for a wholesale giftware company in London, serving Canada and the United States. I love what I do and am passionate about the products we sell which I believe to be very important in work life.

In my spare time I have built a business streaming for a growing community of people across the world. This platform has allowed me to express my many passions as well as support important charities and topics. We have a blast while we do so and support each other in our daily lives.

You never know what will happen in life from your original plan, but always do what you love!
