What brought you to Fanshawe?

I graduated from high school in London and applied to the RN nursing program at Fanshaw in 1990. I was accepted and started that program in Sept 1990.

Tell us about your favourite Fanshawe experience.

I used to love hanging out in the student union with friends between classes, there were always fun things happening there during school and after school.

What impact has Fanshawe had on your life?

I graduated from the nursing program in April of 1993, I immediately got a job as a paediatric nurse and I have worked as a nurse for more than 27 years now. The education and friendship I was lucky enough to achieve their has carried me through my lifetime and the success I had a student encouraged me to believe that I could pursue more education. Today I hold a Bachelors in Nursing with distinction from the University of Athabasca and I am currently pursuing my Masters in Nursing through the University of Athabasca.

What are you up to now?

I am currently a nursing manager at the Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. I manage the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the KidSimuation Program and the RSV Program. As I already stated I am currently pursuing my Masters in nursing which I am over half way done. I am married with three beautiful and almost fully grown kids. I enjoy time with my family the most and look forward to all the things yet to come in my life.
